Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival is organised by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with support from West Mercia Police. Together the organisations raise awareness of biker safety and donations to fund future lifesaving air ambulance and critical care car missions across the Midlands. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity unfortunately responds to a motorcyclist in urgent need of specialist care every week, so promoting biker safety is of vital importance.
West Mercia Police works with agencies across Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire & Telford, aiming to reduce collisions and casualties on the roads through speed enforcement, road safety education, training courses and awareness raising campaigns.
Activity is focused on numerous priority road user groups but one of the major ones is powered two wheels.
West Mercia Police run a series of campaigns, initiatives and education packages to try and ensure these numbers are reduced; one of which is the involvement with the Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival.

Actions taken in the first few moments after an accident involving a motorcyclist can be crucial to minimising injuries, and can make a real difference to the lives of those involved.Would you know what to do?

If you are unfortunate enough to have an accident on your motorbike, ensuring the emergency services have the right information about you to hand could make the difference between life and death.
To help make their extremely challenging job easier at the scene, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and Safer Roads Partnership have developed the life saving Bikers' Crash Card, which you can pop in your helmet.
Please note we can only post Crash Cards to UK addresses.
The Bikers' Crash Card scheme fundamentally helps paramedics and doctors to act fast in the event of an accident, especially if the biker is unconscious following a crash. The pack contains a small card for you to fill in some vital information such as your next of kin, blood group and any existing medical history. The scheme is recognised nationally by all emergency services and we urge all bikers to use the scheme.
